Marium Jeelani is a Pakistani Muslim Director and Creator whose work is rooted in powerful, socially-driven storytelling. Passionate about amplifying the voices of marginalized women, she brings a bold, intersectional lens to every project. Her experience spans music videos, commercials, short films, and features.
A Netflix Documentary Talent Fund finalist, Marium's short film Inteqaam was shortlisted for the Slick Films Fund, and she has been recognized on The Shiny List for emerging directors. She has created digital content for a range of clients including TikTok, The Feminist, OWNI, Livity, Plan International UK, and Generation. She is a Film London Connect Mentorship Alumni
Marium co-led HerPK's emergency fundraising campaign during the 2022 Pakistan floods, to provide menstrual products for those affected. She collaborated with Fashion Revolution on the Good Clothes, Fair Pay campaign advocating for fair wage legislation across the EU. She has appeared on British Muslim TV and Rukus Avenue Radio to discuss the intersection of politics and art in her work. As a member of TikTok’s Creator Round Table, supporting platform safety for Muslim creators, she was invited to the House of Commons in recognition of her advocacy.
